Causes for exessive valve lash on VE motor
I measured valve lash on my SR20VE since I considered It was too noisy for my taste and I find out that was like .010 off on IN and EX what could cause this since I got a 1997 motor and installed just a set of supertech springs and some N1's I reshimed the head but I am just curious what could cause this or its just the SR20VE cams and the N1's doesnt have same base circle ??

They should have the same base circles, Could just be wear on the cams and rockers. Your motor has a lot of use on it im sure.

I dont know if nissan requires a valve lash check and at what mileage so again its probably just likely wear.

Actually on my hands doesnt have that much use.. But the thing is that there its no obvious wear sings on the rocker but maybe bents valves since I did a compression check yesterday and It came with 210psi across the 4cyl which is 30psi lower than were it should be.. so I dont know... But now the motor its quiet after the reshim..

Did you replace each shim taken out back into the same valve it came out of after the spring install.?

^^ Yes sir...
Actually after I took off all the shims and measured them they were all more or less the same measurement butt the lash was off the intake was .017in and exhaust was .023in so I found shims to set them @ .007 and .013 that its pretty close to specs
