you can run windhield washer fluid that has methanol in it. as far as raising the octane some of your fuel and cleaning your pistons and valves, i dont see much more of a benificial gain with it.

i didnt know that. i think all you need is the right pump, lines and little shiringes. looks like im gonna make a trip to discount to get some wiper fluid
Not just any old washer fluid it has to be the -20* washer fluid that has methanol in it. It should also say what is in the fluid. Also there is stuff called HEAT that you can buy at autozone that is 97% pure methanol.
I just bought a Snow Performance water/methanol injection kit used localy for a good price. Now to address the tuning issue. 1. Are our ECU's self learning? 2. Cant Calum tune for this? They say that this kit should richen the mixture up by one point. So if it runs 13.3 AFR now, then it should be near 12.3 AFR with the injection. I think Calum once said when the engine is at cruising speed he does'nt need to set the ECU up for exactly 14.7 AFR it just needs to be close. Does that mean at part throttle the car will be running rich with water/methanol injection, or will the ecu take care of it?
I put a full throttle switch on it along with a summit rpm switch activated at 2,750 rpms using a 60ml nozzle at the lowest pump setting and I gained at least 10 hp and the car is louder now to. the intake manifold was cooler to the touch than is if I dont use the meth injection kit. I have not even bumped my timing yet and I've gained some power. Time to go to the track!
OK, just go to home depot and pick up a gallon of denatured alcohol, mix 50/50 or whatever percentage you want. No detergents or dye going into the engine that way.
Pressure is too low, mine operates at 100psi, the pump is a Shur-Flo, they run about $100-$125 depending on where you get it.
