Well if its all back together with the originals now and he cut the seats your going to have to reshim the head more than likely unless he took very very little off to where your valve lash still is within spec. You will need to check it.

looks like you got it back together. stock s&r and cams ?

did you figure out the shim situation ? whos doing the work ?

good way to check valves, if you have a dead on dreal press thats 100% true stick them in there and run them and you can see if they wobble, if they wobble they are bent, if not they are straight.

he shimmed the intake side to .009 +-2 (at least i hope he did) he hasn't touched the ex side yet cuz of the "6 bent ones" but he did cut the seats on all of the ex side.. they sent him de ex valves lmao

based on the measurements he took with my stock cams do you guys think when i can afford some n1's i will have to re shim ? i mean i kno after a few hundred miles of running the motor the valves should set in further like .001 or soo will this be critical or should i not worry about it and jus slap in bc springs and ti retainers all at once with the n1s.. over thinking things like this gives me insomnia!! o_O

you should be fine to run n1's without reshimming as long as he does the shim job correctly with your stock cams. They all run the same base circles so clearances between all the factory cams should be the same. Since it is +- .002 on the specs have him go like -.001 below the spec and that way when they seat, if anything they will tighten up.

yeah i know gino. hes done alot of my machine work. my fully built ve head could have been there when you were there. he had looked it over after my bottom end let loose.

i was actually gonna call him today to get some prices for something i have planned over the winter, but i am going to use my fathers engine builders machinest.

but ginos a good guy, his prices are fair, i feel he does a good job.

when you get your car together well have to meet up, there is a few of us ve b13 guys on the island. theres actually a big nissan meet nov 13, four of us ve guys are rolling out, you should come with.

if you ever need any info or parts give me a shout.
