2nd gear issue on 16ve box
I'm having some trouble with my tranny.

When revving past say 7k and I try to switch from 1st to 2nd fast my second gear will just grind. What's wrong with my tranny? The synchro? At normal revs and slow changes it's fine.

How big a job is it to change out a synchro?

i would first check clutch adjustment and make sure thats not the problem tighten the clutch cable a bit and try it

Try this first. I had the same problem with a b13 tranny, and the problem was still there when I put my 16ve tranny in. So for me I believe it's either adjustment, or time for another clutch since mine has alot of hard miles on it. Pretty sure it's adjustment though

Bumping this up to find out if there are any replacement parts to use on the SR16VE box to fix a synchro issue or if the SR20DE trannies use the same snychros?

Bringing up again, so it's not clutch cable adjustment, I suspect a synchro issue...SR16VE tranny...am I F'd?
