Thread: tossing around some ideas

so i have been doing alot of thinking and reading lately because its getting close to that time of year when i can spend cash on my car.

I Really want to do a 88mm build but im not sure if im ready for that Yet, i think i want to wait till i can get a spare bottom end to send somewhere that will do all my machine work with a tq plate and assemble the bottom end for me so its done right then all i will have to do is swap my head, oil/water pump an other accessories on an be good to go..

but for Now im thinking of just doing:

n1 pistons
VET head gasket
xcessive intake (stock ve runners with 1" spacer an 50mm velocity stacks)
70mm T-body (prolly an ebay one)
4-1 header
ACL bearings
adjustable cam gears +/-10 (from gspec)


i figure i can atleast obtain that stuff and when i do go bigger bore i will already have some goodies..

i already have 3" exhaust and n1 cams.

what do you guys think?

May as.well.its a step by step process sometimes. Make it faster slower .

yea my whole projects pretty much been baby steps.. ve then exhaust then header then calum basic then n1s and nistune then 3" exhaust

That's how I feel. Small steps for now. Then when I build the dime I will build a beast. Leaning towards vq swap more cuz it looks good under the hood then supercharge or turbo. I don't want a Sr or la anymore every new datsun fanboy are doing it and has ruined those swaps for me. Needs to ne unique or oldschool. Is love to find a old l series turbo setup.
