Yep this is a good thread, gotta get busy and do this to the VE. Soon. Pics will help a ton with install for sure. The thermostat option may not be needed here in Phoenix though, we'll see.

oh yes just a note on pressure changes. I haven't really noticed anything major. Cold start idle is a fraction over 5 bar, WOT sees 6.5 bar easy and warm idle around 3 bar. This is with 5 our of 6 fittings being 90 deg bends, along with some other bends in the routed pipes. The fittings are smooth 90's though. Hoses are 5/16" or ~16mm ID with -10 fittings all round.

what kind of hose and size is that? i like how "stock" it looks... u recommend something like that for a turbo oil feed? almost everyone use steel braided and I wonder if its absolutely necessary

Can you run the cooled oil straight to the turbo oil feed or will it flood?

I don't see why not, you will want to most likely run an oil restrictor in the oil feed line to the turbo as with any turbo car especially the VE since it has such high oil pressures to ensure you don't damage the turbo bearing.

It is regular 5/8" high pressure hydraulic hoses. Explained my application to the hydraulics shop and they recommended these hoses. They gave me the pressure rating but I don't recall it now. Was something stupidly high though. Nothing you will ever experience on a car imo.

Hoses wasn't that pricey, but all the fittings were. In total the hoses cost me about as much as the kit and the oil cooler together.

Does is matter if I use 8-AN or 10-AN lines? I wonder because my sandwich plate is 8-AN and oil cooler is 10-AN so I have to figure it out what to use and whats better. Thanks
