just take yours off your old motor if you dont want it open. I have mine off and have for a long time. All it is is a dust sheild and for if its raining to keep water from getting up in there. It doesnt rain much where i live and when it doesn i dont drive my car in it so it doesnt bother me. But for a daily driver I would have on there.

It sucks man, but i did research, and had my buddy who knew what he was doing and still run into issues. Like josh (lynchfourtwenty) said, he takes 2 days. But we took our time, and did a great job. But whatever you need you steal off the de. We switched alti, starter, ac, everything because u dont know whats good on that ve you got in.

Ive had mine off for 5 years/100k miles through plenty of rain and snow, rain doesn't really get in there no matter how hard it's raining. It would have to be submerged pretty much.

Never had any slipping during rain or anything so I know no water got on the clutch/flywheel, which looked great when I swapped trannies about a year ago. No hot spots and you can still see the crosshatch om the flywheel surface (ADfab chromoly).

Alright went to pull and save today and found a fresh 93 g20 and got the injectors, motor mount, ecu and wiring harness. Get it all home and the connectors of the ecu dont match up with theones on the car. Will the g20 ecu and wiring harness not work? i dont know why it wouldnt , same motor and obd1 and the passenger motor mount bracket is different as well. finding these parts is turning out to be very difficult
