as autech says, i would like to think that the n1 flows better than the sr20ve 20V. after all it was made to race specs

i always tell people the sr16ve and sr20ve are same head but people say otherwise. when my sr16ve damaged bearings i went str8 sr20ve and swap the cams. they were saying i should have kept the sr16ve head - of course that would have cost me more labour and head gasket

peace

"The SR16VE, SR20VE and SR16VE N1 head are the same. The only difference in the N1 head is that it is shaved down 1mm and hand ported.

The 20V, loads of difference in this gem. Different intake and exhaust valves. 34.3mm inconel valves, whihc ar elighter and 5.5mm valve stems that are back cut to 4.5mm from factory. The head ports are 1/8 of an inch taller and wider vs all other VE-series heads. The divider wall inside the ports have a smoother taper and a longer divider wall."

Thanks, I've been researching more since yesterday and what you've said seems to sum it up very well.
Not much information is available on the SR20VET head though. Nissan engineers definitely know what their doing so this may turn out to be the best stock head for a turbo application, once we learn more about it .

Nope. The hardware that felicitates the cam switching is missing, there isn't a solenoid for it either. I don't know if the cam has three lobes or only two per cylinder, I haven't seen pics.

SR20VET and SR20V are the same cylinder head
only difference is the cam shafts and exhaust rocker arms

Correct. The 20v and vet only have one selenoid
