Which head flows best?
I'm in N Idaho and can't find anyone I can trust to rebuild my DET head so I'm thinking about getting a head and some cams that will work with my W11 DET from Andreas Miko.

I only want to do this once so I'm looking for the best flowing Head (cams aside).
I searched and this is what I came up with. Is this right?

SR16VE flows better than the SR20DET

SR20VE flows better than the SR16VE

SR16VE-N1 flows better than the SR20VE

SR20VE 20V flows better than any of the above.

I'm not sure how the SR20VET head flow compares.

Any suggestion for a head/cam combo? I'll eventually end up using a GT3071R.

20V flows the best. That is correct.

i believe the sr20ve an sr16ve (NON n1) heads are the same besides the cams?

Sr16 and sr20 flow the same, they are the same head, I'm pretty sure the sr16 n1 head flows the best...

Thanks everyone. Knowing the SR16VE and the SR20VE are the same head (different cams) makes it easier to find a head. I know the SR20VE 20V head is harder to find.

I'm wondering if the SR20VET cams would work in the Sr16VE/Sr20VE head on my W11, although I think Andreas Miko posted somewhere that the SR20VE 20V cams were the best stock cams for a turbo.

Thanks for the info I've been reading "How to build Nissan Sport Compacts" and apparently the 20V head flows much better than even the N1 head.

SR20VE and SR16VE heads flow better than 20v head when ported.

Stcok head N1 performs best. Not far behind is the 20v.

Yeah this sounds more correct. ^

I don't think the 20v outflows the n1 in std form

Well, guess we will never know unless someone flow tested the heads. Charles did it and claimed the 20v flowed the best. I dunno if he did it to an N1 head however

I still think the 20V flows the best. The head is the most dynamic out of all of them.

Have seen results first hand.

If yoru modifying a head, forget the 20v.

For a stock head the 20v (chances of getting an n1 head are impossible.

Also N1 head is a different casting. Different casting numbers and also different part numbers. (yes i know they were hand ported, but they have a different part number, so assuming the casting is different for the specifics of being supplied to Autech.JP for hand finish.)
