You are missing the fuel pressure regulator! I have some extra ones. Make me an offer.

What ever it is, it's usually described as the second FPR. The VE's come with what look like two regulators on the rail. I'm not sure if it's really a second regulator or what, but it looks like one, gets a vacuum signal and all.

...sigh...you nissan ppl... Toyota uses them and they are called fuel rail pulsation dampners, their job is to provide consistant pressure when the pump is on since all pumps have a pulse to them. It's really pointless, but some engineer wanted to make some money...

ok well im not 100% familair of the VE fuel rail. Yes some engines have 2 of these. One would be the fuel damper (no vac barb) and the other would have a hose barb for a vac source. The one with he vac hose is the regular old fuel pressure regulator (so the pressure changes with no vac/vac).

anyone have a close up pic of the whole rail?

On the VE, both have a vacuum barb and the one pictured is the fuel dampener.

You can bypass it with an elbow fitting if you wanted to, i've seen it done that way before.

The 20V's don't have them on their fuel rail at all btw.
