Thread: A little help please

my ecu and msd window switch seem to be loosing signal at high rpms. sometimes the revs on my switch are devided for example they read 3500 instead of 7000 (or it goes normal until high 7k's and limits.

some times the car doesn't limit but the msd will turn off the high cams due to false reading.

what could cause this lack of signal other than what I have already changed? ...faulty harness?

Loose connection or bad ECU. The ECU generates the signal that goes out to the cluster. It gets the a signal back from the coil as well.

read the ecu codes it gives me 2-1 and 3-4 knock sensor (has always been unplugged) and bad ignition signal .

I changed ecu, and ignition so I guess I'll change the harness because I cant see anything visibly wrong

Check a green wire that comes out of the ignition harness that's the crank sensor signal wire check if its not making contact with another wire it happen to me or the wire that connects to the green one on the harness side instead of the ignition side. Or give me a call

Could be in the distributor as well.
