A little help please
well mi car is cutting my revs off as if it had a limiter in the mid 7k's it does it only 50% of the time the rest it revs up to my usual 8.7k. when it doesn't limit early I do feel what seems to be a small stutter once or twice at high rpms.

so far I've changed spark plugs, ignition, coil, and ecu with new board and new chips but same tune which ran fine before.

car runs fine besides that.

what kind of ecu? i know the 16ve ecu rev limits at like 6700 or something like that if the engines not above a certain temp. i found that out by surprise an it freaked me out, took a few times of doin it to figure out exactly why lol

it's a b13 se-r ecu . it limits early just half the time

does it have electrical speed sensor or the mechanical one?

I may be wrong here, but don't stock ECU's have a rev limiter between 7200 and 7500?

Cluster may not be calibrated right, stock should be 7500rpms.

^^^ when, they are chipped they don't limit over 8k

macakin- it's electrical

I have a digital nx cluster that only revs up to 8k but it had never give me problems before

I check my revs in the msd window swich

when I had my swap done we installed an SR16 ecu and it was cutting at 6500-6700 and I always thought it was because of the speed sensor, because mine had a mechanical. Maybe it went on limp mode or something, so that migth be the case.
Then maybe it's a chipped ecu, but like you said it's not supossed to limit above 8k

Do you have Consult? If so i would check that when driving to see if you notice anything. Not sure what would cause it to rev limit other than getting a false reading or maybe a loose connection and the car tries to go into limp mode.

Another thought would be somehow the stock rev limit is still showing up in the code every now and then. Are you using TunerCode? or just a plain basic?

yea thats another thing the 16ve ecu does, if the speedo isnt hooked up it also has a rev cut below 7k
