弟のHP10いじりたい病が再発した。

ネットでP12プリメーラ20V(SR20VE搭載モデルの6速ミッションASSYを見つけたのだ。HP10にすんなり乗せられるわけではない。と言うか、前例を聞いたことが無い。同じSRだからエンジンとのドッキングには問題なさそうだが、車体に乗せるにはマウントの位置違いやドラシャの長さ違い等を何とかしなくてはならない。シフトだってワイヤ式だからってすんなり行くかどうか・・・

と、まぁ、問題は色々あるし、大体ホントに乗せかえるのか!?って感じなんですが。ちなみに、一般にはJN15:パルサーVZ-R用のミッションがクロス化されていて良いとか。しかもこれならプリメーラにもそのまま載る。なんて話から、今度は「VVL載せたい」と。

日産曰く、「Variable Valve timing and Lift」で、VVLっていうちょっと無理やりなネーミングでVTECと同じような機構のアレです。(多分、VVTLだと、トヨタのVVTとかぶるからVVLにしたんだろうな。。

HP10プリメーラのSR20DEをVVL化するってのは、前にCARBOYの投稿でも読んだことがある。自分で出来るかは別として、P12ミッション載せるよりは、はるかに現実的だ。

方法は簡単(?。まず、VEヘッドを用意する。SR20VEでもSR16VEでも同じらしい。でもVZ-R N1は燃焼室が違う?(この辺は弟の方が詳しい・・で、ヘッドASSYを交換をする。当然、動弁系も丸ごとね。んで、制御系を何とかすればおしまい。・・・だったかな・・・。ここで、圧縮比について考えたい。VEのヘッドの燃焼室はDEより小さいのでそのまま組むと超高圧縮比になる??P11、P12のSR20VEは圧縮比が11.0。まぁ、ちょうど良い圧縮比って感じかな。これでよいならVE用ピストンを使えば良い。もう少し圧縮比を上げたい、となると・・・DEのピストンを使えば良いのかな?ちなみに、スタンダード(VZ-R N1でないのSR16VEも圧縮比は11.0。コイツのピストンをSR20VEに組むのはさすがに無理だと思う・・・SR20DEにはよく「パルサーピストン」なんて呼ばれてNAチューンでは使われるんだけどね。

・・・ピストン交換するって時点でエンジン全バラになるじゃんって突っ込みは不可です。(ぉぃ

そーいや、もう一つのVVL搭載車、エクストレイルGTのSR20VETもヘッドは同じって言ってたな。で、確かピストンはSR20DETと同じって、CARBOYの記事にあったような・・・更に、コンロッドはSR20DET用の小端部を斜めにカットしてあって、フリクション低減がなされてるとか。エクストレイルGTのSR20VETは圧縮比が9.0。SR20DETは8.5。単純にヘッドの燃焼室容積違いで圧縮比が0.5上がってるって事か・・・

愛知県にあるEAGLE(http://www.eagle-r.jp/)ってショップではシルビアにVEヘッド載せてます。色々と大変だったそうですが・・・今はとりあえずNAだけど、これからターボも試してみたいって言ってました。

って、よく見たら、ここのエンジン、SR16VEピストン組んでるじゃん・・圧縮比は12.0だそうです。全然行けるじゃん・・・VZ-R N1はいくつだったかな・・12は超えてたけど・・カタログあるけど出すの面倒なので、また今度にさせてください。。

ともあれ、SR20DE搭載車に乗ってる方にはVVL化、お勧めです。

何かこれ書いてたら、自分もVVL化したくなってしまった・・・いや、やらないけど。金銭的に無理だし(笑
