Port matching SSAC?
I was wondering if I could do this myself? If so... how would I go about making sure that I have the right dimension?

Does anyone know what the VE head size is?

I was thinking of doing a carbon paper rub over the VE head and then matching that up to the header with a tape outline. And then Dremel from there.

Any suggestions?

Get a ve ex mani gasket. Use a marker to color the areas that are inside the port area. Make sure your bolt holes are lined up when you do this. Then take the gasket away and grind the colored area. Done

Either that or just line up the ports of the flange with the exhaust mani gasket and use a marker or whatever to highlight how the holes need to be bored and shifted so that when the header is bolted up it aligns the ports..... either way works

The ssac header ports are oversized. No porting needed. Save you the time.

yep, my hot shot i would of needed to redrill the holes, but on all 3 ssac's i've installed all the ports have matched up.. however 2 of 3 needed a few holes redrilled because they were not in the right spots..

The ve ports are no larger, just in a diff possition on the head

This I was wondering because when I told my mechanic about port matching the SSAC he couldn't see why it was needed and showed me how the exh ports were just the same size as the DE.

I did mess with the holes that hold the primaries and secondaries together so the ports matched there.
