DE sensors, wiring loom etcetera. See if you can get a P11 ECU with Nistune. Don't know much about Nistune, though. Not sure if JWT or Calum made them for the P11. I think some people used a P10 ECU.

If a Nistune type 4 fits the VE ECU and can control everything except the VVL part thats fine with me aswell.

I really don't understand why that wouldn't work imho.

Nistune products (none that are available, or will be available anytime soon) in VE ECUs do not work. They are not supported and they have no plan to support them anytime soon. That is a confirmation from Matt at Nistune less than 48 hours ago. Unfortunately .....

Using a DE ECU will do everything except VVL (which is what a lot of people do, incl myself, with a Type3).

I know, but I've got the complete VE engine harness in. So everything is 100% VE except for the ECU so that would require a lot more work.

Then just reflash the ECU in Greece, for the higher switchover, and be done with it.

If you're gonna switch to a DE ECU without changing the wiringloom, you're gonna have to do a lot of soldering, if you can't find an ECU with the same plug.
Not to mention the pinout.

the VE chipped ECU he has isn't actually that bad, all he needs is a tuner with Nistune software, and who can burn Chips, I have the same daughterboard in my N1, can't stick a DE ecu in that, so my choice is limited, so I'll be going to my tuner when I am ready, to get my car remapped, think if he had spent time looking for a tuner who could dyno map his VE ecu, it would have saved him a lot of trouble, instead of going the emanage route..

I never knew that the option you describe was an option at all. I thought it was something only Bill could do.

And on top of that, in the Netherlands there isn't anyone who can do this. Or atleast I didn't find one.

Where's your guy located, G?

All non-realtime DBs use chips, IIRC. So if you use Nistune, and a Moates burner, you should be able to create your own tunes.

OH MY GOD

is this really comin up again?

whats all the talk of vvl switch points got to do with anything in terms of peak power?

and anyone saying this isn't disappointing for the mods needs to believe this is flywheel HP, NOT wheel.

I'll put it simply, there's 1 or 2 dyno dynamics machines in the south east of england that are reading as low as fook! lol, This is one of numerous cars to have real low results on one of these machines.

1. My own 12.5:1 ve, n1's, 4-1, 3" exhaust etc... 207 fly HP
2. ragt20 1.6 n1, 170ish fly hp??
3. 2 x 20ve's with 16ve cams both getting only 180 fly hp

there's also another ve or 2 and a few de's with low figures on these dynos.

Even my tuner said his boosted s13 made like 60fly hp less on 1 of these dyno dynamics than it did on janspeed's dynojet nearby, same car, same mods etc.

Before anyone comments, i'm not asking to be told that their cars made good figures on a dyno dynamics and they don't read low etc etc. I'm not saying that. However,. from what i understand there's quite a lot of factors that go in to each operator setting up their respective dyno dynamics machines and in the case of 1 or 2 in this area they just seem to read pretty low.

Damasterpnut - whats the butt dyno say? any 1/4 mile times?

I'd be very surprised if this didn't make significantly higher on a dynojet or other dyno dynamics machine tbh, too many ve's are getting figures like this on these couple of dyno dynamics machines for it to be coincidence that they're all set up like shit!

Oh and another thing, FIGURES SHHMIGURES lol

I gained 3kw in peak power by sorting out a better switching point, so getting the switch point correct is pretty important, not to mention it got rid of a massive hole in the power band.
