As i recommend you before. Sell Emanage and chipped VE ECU and buy real ECU - Nistune.

you mean a standard VE ecu? 16ve or 20ve? ... and get a nistune daughter board?

Nah, he meant screw the VE ECU and get a DE ECU with Nistune. And use a MSS or window switch for the cams.

Btw, only for my own info: how can for example an MSS or MSD 8969 control VVL when a car has an SR20VE ECU? Wouldnt those interfere or am i missing something?

I would think, you just remove link from ecu to solenoids, when adding MSS or anything else...

I would also suggest running a De ecu with Nistune, that way you don't have to deal with the crappy VE ecu. Get some window switches to change the vvl points. You still haven't answered, is this graph really flywheel HP or WHP and reads flywheel like many I have seen? You can also do a lot of tuning with an e-manage too, we used to use them back in the day. No where near a good tuneable daughterboard but we did see good numbers with the e-manage. Doesn't a sr20ve ecu have very conservative timing maps from the factory since they were all cvts?

that figure is 100% flywheel HP...was there on the day, so can confirm...think he should have a graph showing WHP as well..

I don't understand why anyone would run a chassis dyno and spit out flywheel numbers by default? MAKES NO SENSE.

+1

Ive did P11 GT SR20VE swap and it was very easy - DE harness, DE ECU with Nistune, Summit switch for VVL. Easy, stock looking VE swap. No struggling with VE harness, VE ECU, VE daughterboard, Emanage... so much work for nothing.

But even with that he should get some results.

Is the emanage tuned? did you bother to tweak the timing with it or just left timing to the VE ECU? Also, the E-Manage could switch the VVL too, both at the same time, so you can change your switch point.

Work with what you have now, then if no good, sell and get a Nistune
