Dont expect too much more out of the 1.6 engine. It baffles me how nissan got 200hp fly out of a delivered dealership engine.

With the nismo N1 cams, headers and other gear i can understadn how it would make 200

tbh, I'm not really disappointed, just more confused, you begin to wonder if everything is ok with the car when you get a totally unexpected figure like that, it certainly don't feel like a 158hp car when driving it

Like I said there are so many variables when you get that magic dyno number that in the end it means nothing. Just make sure all those variables are teh same in the future when you are testing mods. If it makes you feel better I can get your car to read 400whp if you want to bring it over here? Haha like it means anything.

P.S. You're car is hot. If you were over here I would buy it

G do you know if the irish guy that had it before you got Bill's map fine tuned? not just stuck it straight in and hoped for the best?

with the spec thats in your sig pal, you should get way more than 160 ... but US dynos read higher than ours anyway ... (awaits flaming) lol

no fine tuning mate, just straight install and go, from what I understand

hmm ... even POC told me when i was going to get one of these from him, via Bill, to get it fine tuned, as everyone's set up is different, regardless of whether yours is standard or not ... because its optimised to 95 oct, might mean he had advanced the timing much ... knock sensor retards, loss of power?

but personally i think its the dyno's fault

yeah thats what he suggested to me as well, and it is my plan to get it properly tuned, just been busy playing with/sorting out the other cars..lol

To me, i think the dyno is reading really low for whatever reason. Your power is holding out to well over 9k like an N1 normally does. You have no choppyness in the graph at all.

Just like my buddies N1 camd sr20ve with full boltons, 3" exhaust no cat, free flowing muffler. pop charger and good tune. Only problem was he was having issues with the car cutting out and getting a flat tone 6100 rpms on and wouldnt even want to rev out to past 7100. Power just fell like mad after 6800. Not only was the dyno reading lower but something was up. As i could richen it up like crazy with the realtime and power would stay exactly the same. I could lean it out like crazy, no change. No matter what we did. Zero change. Kept dynoing 145whp over and over and over. Either way it had problems. Turned out to be the e60 maf and 14 year old abused harness was causing ignition problems.

Fixed that and now it pulls like a freight train till 9k. Your graph is nice and smooth, pulls all the way through still gaining power but yet the numbers are too low. I think its more of a dyno read error, might try a different dyno if at all possible.
