A weak ignition system is where you can easily lose horse power. It's the first thing I check for on a low performing engine.
I can test this, I still have my old lead's and a spare set.
Okay this may sound weird but...are you SURE thats YOUR dyno sheet?? First off it shows that your power band is REALLY smooth, too smooth for a VE with the cams activating at the same time. It also shows power loss at a very low RPM. N1s being a top end cam you should getting power up until ~7k RPMS. Also, if in fact your cams ARE activating at 5k, there is no way that could be your dyno sheet. There would be a spike/loss in your power. And to top it off that torque is pretty unheard of for that setup. I don't think we should diagnose any further until it is confirmed that is in fact your sheet.
you get what I'm saying..?
This, I am 100% sure about, We did 3 Runs starting off at 164 HP I think.
yea it comes out to be about 128.3 ft lbs tq if you convert from nm..
what type of dyno was the run takin on, was that your only run or just your best run? what was the smoothing? correction factor?
I did 3 run's this was the best, As for the smoothing this I dont Know, I will have to ask them or maybe Derm or Docter G will assist as they both should know.
Put your cams back to 0,0 then re-dyno.
Ok, I will try out 0,-2 first then 0,0 then we can take it from there, Just want to get new plugs.Cap and rotor first.
Anyways, how are you testing if both cams are activating?
Im 100% sure both are activating, If I stage them I can hear and feel them kick in.
