I have always used the bkr6e in my VE so far, I know my DE loved them. I'll have to try out the bkr6e-n next time if I remember.

its possible your engine might think the 7e's are too cold, i imagine this is a naturally aspired motor? or turbo? any timing advancements?

The 7 are too cold for street use. They will work better with an MSD. If there are fuel deposits on the tip of the plug they are too cold. The 5's are too hot, they will leave a sooty film on the plug.

There are other NGK options, BCP6EV works great with an MSD. Then there is
BKR6EIX iridium and others.

IIRC BKR6E-N or BKR6E-N-11 are stock VVL oem plugs and you can get them at NAPA but they usually have to order them.

I was actually lazy and ordered them at sparkplugs.com while I was waiting for my other stuff to come in for my swap.

Just giving another option. Parts store counter guys get whiny around my place when they have to order stuff

Run the NGK's in a 6. Only difference between the two is the "N" plug has a v-tipped electrode.

SR20's are picky when it comes to spark plugs. I would not waste $100 on some plugs on the off chance that I could pick up 3whp.

They always go "Alright what year is the car?!", strike a few keys and sigh like they are doing you a big favor.

Me: "Can I just give you a part #?"

You gotta get to know your people. They come around.

Bkr6es always worked well for me on the VE.
