Thread: harness questions

so im in the middle of my ga16de to sr20ve motor swap, i already have an sr20de harness but its not plugging up to anything, my question is, i know i have to get one thats closer to my year, but im going from automatic to 5 speed, my car was made in 8/98 so the 5 speed didnt exist after july of 98 according to nissan is there any different in the harness from an auto to a 5 speed or not...i do know that the automatic trans that was in the car didnt have any electronic control features just the speed sensor and i would guess that is the same on both transmisssions im just looking for some guidance here on what i should order from nissan. I also know that the sr20ve is from between 1997 and 2001 and its out of a primeria, i have the block code but no one seems to know how to look that up ethier. at this point any advice on where to go would be helpful

You should be fine if you get the SR20 harness from a 98.

Manual, you are using a manual tranny correct?

yea i am ok then thanks ill have to order that tomorrow from nissan
