There's a p10 guy that worked at the emissions place here, and he said ethanol is the trick to passing.

I PASSED BEYOTCHES!!!!!!!

so what i did was:

hooked the iacv back up
.
retarded timing to 10* or so
.
dropped the idle down
.
unplugged the o2 sensor.. NEENER NEENER!!

anyway she flew through alot cleaner this time lol

it was funny, they were training a new girl an since i have no cig lighter they had to get signal from a spark plug wire, so when they popped the hood the new lady was all like, Wow! thats Clean! hehehe

anyways thanks for the help gentlemen!

Glad you caught a break. It could do better even with N1s and all. Without compromising power.

well the o2 sensors toast, which is why i ran through with it unplugged lol.. the iacv is working kinda buut i still dont think its %100 right..

iirc the n1 cam low lobes arent to far off of the stock ve low lobes.. so i dont think the cams had much to do with it.. although i think playin with the cam degrees could make it a tad cleaner.. but i dont really care.. she passed an thats all that matters.. she improved in everything, cruise, idle ect.. Although i am gonna set my idle up a tad higher an my timing back to 15*

im suprised they didnt shit themselves when they popped the hood an it was so clean, shiney headers an intake an no emissions stuff hahaha oh well.. i dont have to go through at for another 2 years atleast..

They don't know an intake from a hole in the ground. I know you want hp and you could tune for a lot of mpg. I'm glad you passed.

Just the beginning, tuning for power and economy is a bit touch and go sometimes. Glad you passed, now you know how you did it. I failed 6 times on my VE until I snagged a Calum RT and got serious about tuning for the best emissions results. Having a wideband was a huge help too.

I highly recommend NTK o2 sensors. I just put two of them in my B14.
