Major problems melted plugs
The N1 has **** itself. the 2 plugs nearest the timing chain have melted, the tip is missing off 1 of them theres a rattle in the top end i presume a bent valve the head piston looks to be covered in gunk too so there may be a hole in it too. which would explain my oil burning the last few weeks.

cars is a sr16ve n1,
maxim works header and 5ziegen cat back
hks panel filter,
bill tuned ecu 9100 rev limit

Where should i go next? any advice appreciated

damn.... well it was really lean sounds like, next step is to pull the head and see what the damage is... sorry to hear that, on a N1 none the less

Post some pics of the sparkplugs. I doubt they melted, probably got damage due to the valves floating. A na 1.6 won't generate enough heat to melt a sparkplug.

HA, and you thought your vtech was reliable! You should have just went turbo like the sr20 was designed for and quit trying to be a hunduh boy!!!!!

j/k

I am notorious for hating on ve's. Especially after a little vodka.

I hope it works out for you, don't quit, keep doing what you feel....
