when my car was makin 172whp an 142wtq i was walkin on de's with same basic mods.. even a 10-1 uk de..

a stock ve will beat a stock de, a stock ve will beat a basic bolt on de, a stock ve will beat a cammed out de with bolt ons.. a bolt on an cammed ve should leave any de in the dust.. (except for maybe some crazy built ass de thats no longer a 2.0 or something..)

I think I get what your saying however that isn't correct. I had my daily B13 w/ 10:1 DE fully bolted (everything but pullies) a SSAC 2.25in, S3 cams and 2.5in exhaust and walked a VE with only a SSAC 2.5in. I repeated this 3 times we were racing in 4th gear because I didn't have 5th. I was running a stock ECU at that. I blew a rod through the block on the 4th pull tagging the rev limiter in 4th gear as I walked away yet agian. My new setup is a 9.5:1 DE fully bolted with pullies and a 2.5in SSAC.

There is a video of me being just about keeping up with a B14 w/VE N1's SSAC and exhaust w/ WAI. I can't post it here but as Morgans432 or Bgreen about it.

I don't know if you remember the game whack-a-mole when you were a kid but line up those stock VE's and my fully bolted DE will outrun them each and everytime.

must of been something wrong with those ve's man.. what kind of numbers were you puttin down? before my cam swap i could almost keep up with my buddys det nx

I have never dynoed my setup and probably never will it is just a daily driver to me now. They were both healthy VE's that were recently swapped and running Calum Basic ECU's. The one that wasn't stock was just about a fender ahead of me as we got into the middle of 4th gear. Third gear we were about dead even. I don't know what these guys were shifting at but I was shifting at 7500 and could hear them shift later than me so I know they were revving higher than me.

^I don't think this is the cause 100% of the time. If a stock 10.1 DE has S4's/BC2's/BC3's dailed in with every bolt on, it will give a stock VE all it wants. Not saying it will win, but it will be there.

that doesnt make much sense since the ve stock makes more hp an tq then 99% of the de's with full bolt ons an cams that i've seen.. maybe its the power band.. maybe im blind or jus not payin attention idk.. i'd like to give those guys a run
