VVL swap wiring issues.
Well I bought this car because the kid already pulled out the motor and I had an extra VVL motor. I figured I could just do this swap real quick. But it's turned into a huge PITA. When the guy pulled his motor out he cut a few plugs off. I guess he must have been in a rush to get the old motor out of there like some kinda JDM engine remover, cutting everything instead of just unplugging things.

I simply can not find the TPS plug or even any cut wires were I would assume it should be coming out of the harness. That's what's frustrating me most, if someone can post a picture of the loom where it comes from or tell me exactly where to look would be great! I also can not find the wires for the IACV valve I think that's what it is any ways, it's the one that I'm going to have to cut off the original plug and solder on the JDM purple plug. and then there are two thick white wires that are together near the Alternator, the end is also cut from those, I think they may be for the positive post on the alternator??? Any help would be great! I don't know of anyone nearby with a B13 or I would already be looking at them.

This is getting extremely frustrating! Can someone please post up some close up pictures of the TPS plug and harness where it splits off from. PLEASE! I need this car running asap!

Before I go take pics, Look for the 2 small grounds that bolt onto the intake manifold, it should be a little ways up from there! I'll try and take pictures.

I know exactly what your talking about and it's not there. I've been searching this harness for weeks.

One more thing. This car used to be an automatic but now has a manual trans. I hope the harness isn't different for the TPS.

This is the best it's going to get from me, the harness doesn't come out much more than this. Btw, this is off a OBDII B14, I'm thinking you have a B13 so the connectors may be different. Oh well, at least you have an idea...

Thanks.

It's the same connector that I'm looking for. I may have to open the harness to find the wires. The kid must have cut off the clip. I can't find any trace of it. I've done four sr20 motor swaps and this one is driving me nuts.

Those two ground wires would be more towards the drivers side close to the throttle body. Is the TPS sensor plug more towards the passenger or drivers from those two ground wires?

Why not just look for a used 5sp B13 harness? The last one I sold was like $50.

Get an early P10 harness at the bone yard.
