got me fingers crossed, think I have found the problem, it pays to look at both sides of the ecu...doh...the ribbon from the daughterboard has a few not so good solders on the ecu side, 2 or 3 of the pins I can move slightly with small screwdriver without much force...after gently pushing them to one side, and trying again, the fuel pump whirrs into life...only thing is tried to start it, it didn't but had the check light flicker, so left it until I get all the points properly soldered on.....

am hoping the bad connections haven't created any shorts and ruined anything..

Bad connections will just cause erros, wont cause any issue to damage the ECU unless the wires short out against each other.

Yeah get some solder wick or a sucker and take some of the solder off if you have to and put some nice fresh solder on there and you'll find it will be fine.

When people try to be cheap and use to large dia solder this is what tends to happen... or poor soldering skills.

managed to get the 4 loose pins resoldered, for 3 of them it was just a case of applying the soldering iron to the pins just letting the solder to melt and reset...

since doing this, the fuel pump comes to life when getting the ignition on, and I can connect consult to ecu as well, and shows no faults..

problem is car is still not starting, so went back to check basics and now noted getting no spark, have tested using different plugs, leads and cap so not sure why there is no spark...can only guess something in the ecu is still not right? or there must have been a short somewhere when the wires were loose?

woohoo we have a running car...had missed one of the pins, and this had caused the 7.5amp fuse next to the battery, to go sorted both things and car fired up with no trouble...

very happy and pleased to have found the problem and resolved it myself...cheers for the advice guys..

Check on the inner part of the engine bay. I had this happen to my NX recently. Turned out there was a fuse under there that had blown, but all the others in the cabin itself were fine. Swapped it out and it fired right up. Good luck.
