VE starter question
So I am finishing up my VE swap and I just wanted to make sure it was OK to use the VE starter with a manual tranny (the VE was originally auto). It looks like the VE starter has one more tooth than my DE starter, 9 vs 8. VE starter bench tests perfect and the DE works every time but squeals sometimes (super annoying).

Sorry for the newb question haha

But! i do Believe! that you need to use a longer bolt with a nut to use the ve starter.. or atleast i'd have to on the 2 i got..

yes indeed or a friend of mine just threaded the starter with the same thread and bolt it uses originally but that requires more work. But works!

i couldnt do that because the hole was to big and i would have had to drill the bellhousing an use a bigger bolt..

The easiest thing to do is use a longer bolt with a nut just like the factory.
