We could always use a deck plate to get a longer rod back into the mix..

Id love to hear more from this guy who's done it

Use a bore torque plate, the head on top of it, and two head gaskets!!!

You would need to have one made. I'm not sure if anyone makes them, and then once its on you would need to sleeve the block with custom made longer sleeves. and then you would need custom made longer head bolts/studs. It is a lot of work. Maybe something mazworx would tackle.

But I kno some of the crazy b series guys do it. There was a low low 11 sec na crx around here with a plate..

And....

Destroking takes alot less work than stroking, especially when it comes to this much.

Sure. I'm not saying all the mods I listed would be a must. But to get a good rod/stroke ratio in order to build a motor that will still rev 9k easily you'll need some work. I guess if it does clear then yeah you could drop it in and get customs pistons/rods and run. Just won't be very safe for reving high

but if the qr25de can make power at low rev no need to high rev it

Well unless you have an insane nuts head that will flow like crazy w low revs then have at it. But the fact is that we need to rev to make power, if your not able to rev it you will be limmited... That is the formula at the end of the day.
