100mm qr25de crank in sr20ve?
has anyone ever tried to stroke a sr20ve with the qr25de crank? i search and they are very similar cranks just one is 86mm and the other 100mm even share the same main seal if this crank can be put on a sr20ve it would make it a 2.3 liter. would be nice

it wont clear the block will it? you need to fettle the block for a 92mm crank so how much work you would need for 100mm clearence :S

Damn this is some good info. Yeah if they de stroked a qr then I would imagine this should work. Might need to do some wealding to the block after all that grinding tho

Rod ratio would be totally **** with 100mm stroke though wont it?

1. It will not clear the block.
2. rod ratio would be sh!t.
3. could not fit factory rod length because piston pin can not move up 7mm
4. the rotation of rod would go onto the main oil passage.

game over on that one.

haha
woops. i forgot the at the end of my post

de-stroking is easier than stroking. no deck height worries OR block clearancing.

although, throw enough $$ at something and almost anything is possible.

I have seen a sr block with a qr25 crank in it. It can be done, but the guy that built it didnt want to give much away. He offered it to me for 2500, but did own up to it not being as good as he hoped, and not very good for revs.

it has to be good because the honda guys use the k24 bottom end and its a 99mm stroke with a 87mm bore. some honda guys just put a stock bottom end and make 260+hp if someone has a qr25de crank pass i would do the project and post every thing it can get done.
