High Compression VE with N1 Cams
some pple i know say that N1 cams doesnt perform better than SR16 ( with Cam Degree i think ) in High Compression engines ( SR16VE pistons; i dont really know the exact compression ).. i dont know if this is a fact . what do you guys think ?.. nd whats up with the 184-C cams from Kelford; something wrong with them ? they are supposely designed for 11.5 or higher compression...

You need to find some friends that know what they are talking about.

i've heard the same thing like you michael from some people with sr16 pistons and sr16 cams non n1 and the performance is better than with n1. I dont know why but, not every engine with same mods race identically, even same with same WHP.

what do u mean doesnt perform better with cam degree??..... do u mean it makes more power than the n1 or it makes more additional power than the n1....eg

n1 would give say 204 tuned to 209 with cam degree
sr16 would give say 195 tuned to 203 with cam degree

Thats the problem with you guys you keep hearing things and making changes without testing what works on your own cars and at the end Dyno numbers dont win races jajajajaja
Even my family car (Full trim 2003 Altima SE 14.2@97 WITH A HEAVY @SS 300LBS DRIVER) Its faster than some VE's here in the island... Because of that jejejeje
Test what works on your car at the track or at the Dyno but stop listening to everybody's comments and start testing your own setups.....

completely agree with that i just said that i heard that, i don't said i wouldn't try that. And also some vehicles are faster than others no matter if they have exactly same setup. So it doesn't mean that if for example i own a Altima SE with exactly same setup as you and also tuned by you doesn't mean that we will run parallel until the speedometer hits the stopper.

For example many people have told me not to use a Adjustable FPR on a stock VE, but guess what if i don't installed it i would not notice that my fuel pump was damaged it was loosing pressure over 5kRPM i just replaced it with a better one and problem solved but still need to know fuel mixtures on dyno is the best option.

SR16 with degree making the same or just a little less( -1 or -2 whp ) than N1 .
