i run a 4" intake on my ve. general rule of thumb go larger on the intake pipe than the throttle body is in diam. example if you have a 2.5" TB go 3" intake.

Well since 70mm is under 3in I think 3in piping is sufficent although it wouldn't hurt going little larger. The only thing though is that your intake pipe is like anything else. Its only as good as your bottle neck. And since your maf is only 3in I don't see any point in going with a larger pipe from your maf to your tbody... my opinion ofcourse.

i run no maf in my car. the idea behind going slightly bigger has to do with intake pipe frequencies and to aid in velocity with the small choke. there are some decent reads on it if you search on making intake manifolds. there are specs for what length intake pipe will help with rpm ranges as well.

What happen if you have a Q45 TB and Q45 MAF.....? bc the TB and MAF of the Q45 is in 3" so it should work good...? or no........? :S
