yeah the 20ve manifold bottom is only 5" long the n1 is 6 or 6.5" that would work alot better for na. that thing looks like it would flow very well for turbo tho.

My intake mani is only 6.75in and it works well, didn't loose any low end. Also saw nice gaines from 7.5+rpm

Maybe then N1 runners + Xcessive plenum should work?

i think it would be a cheep alternative. my manifold with the 1/8" spacer on the head has just a hair over 7" runner length to the top of the velocity stacks . the manifold works great. so i think a n/a setup with 6.5-7.5" would work fairly well given decent plenum volume etc.

I think along will a lot of porting to give a proper taper aswell as some long velocity stacks welded on top I think the std ve manifold would work great! Iv been meaning to try something like this..

Hey Miko, which TB are you using with that mani? I have a q45 TB on my custom intake and I am encountering some nasty hesitation (bucking) below 3000rpm (mostly when cold) when I try to slightly open the TB... could it be the TB is too large?
Currently Im running 3" piping with a coupling to join the 82mm q45 tb.

btw: also my custom IM runners are the lower half of the stock sr20ve mani and I estimate length to be 5.5 inches (inc. the adapter plate)... I didnt lose much down low (~2whp) but my peak power moved from 7.3k to 8.3k with N1 and I gained 10 whp ~8wtq with only 4 dyno runs, past the stock im @ ~6500 rpm... The runners are ported significantly, the velo funnel is about 1.5 times wider than the diameter of the runners (based on my naked eye estimate).

my setup is 4-1 header, 3" exh, n60, n1cams, springs, calum, camgears

Waiting to test the longer runner out but it's been too hot to test.
