VE 4CW crankshaft max load
Out of interest: what is the max RPM or BHP/NM a 4CW crankshaft can handle without flexing or breaking out of its bearings?

I kno I took it to 9k all day no issues. And jp made like high 500whp w one, so I wouldn't worry to much.

The WHP load is the same as the 8 CWC. The RPM limit is much lower than the 8 CWC as far bearing life goes.

Please note that all NISSANs SR cranks that go over 7000 RPMS are 8 CWC and all cranks under 7000 RPMs are 4 CWC.

What would be a safe margin then. 8200 rpm on a 4CW crank still safe when tracking?

everything is safe if you are maintaining it

regularly check for bearing wear after 100 or so race miles

why does thing havre to so black and white with you guys.

Building a street motor to do some 1.4 mile racing run the 4 CWC

Building a race motor to go around a track run an 8CWC

Going to pullthe motor down every few races build an 8 CWC

And if you do more streetdriving/weekend warrioring with the occasionale laps at the local racetrack and the Nurburgring. 4CW still will be fine if you ask me?
