I'm pretty sure if you were able to independently activate the intake and exhaust, you would have a smoother power curve and more hp/torque around 4500-4900 rpm. I would activate the intake around 4500 rpm and keep the exhaust at 4900.

The sr16 low cams are very small so that's why you are seeing such a big difference in power.

Go for the 3" especially for the spray my car sr20ve stock cams ran outta breath on 75 wet shot tuned @ 6200rpm and stayed flat with a custom 3" to 2.5" exhaust

just recently did some fun runs on a different dyno(dynocom instead of the dynapak i got tuned on)numbers were really surprising for just adding 3"vrs catback and asp budget header untuned.my tuner did say his dynapak read really low like 20hp off from a dynojet.

heres the dynapak chart

heres the dynocom chart(3" vrs catback and asp budget header untuned,sr16 cams still at 4900 rpm)

sorry if this sounds rude, but aren't those numbers really low?? Seems like you should be able to achieve those numbers with stock ve. I would say you should be at about 170 to the wheels. Am I way off base here?

The last dyno chart shows 206 hp, that seem good to me.
