Hey guys I'm trying to figure out how to test my e60 maf, I've never needed to before, and I think my e60 is on the fritz.

sorry to dig this up again -but I was wondering how accurate is the voltage reading off of the calumsult software, can it be trusted?

I am getting a code 12 off my software, and even after clearing the code, I get it back again. Just wondering if the maf reground is worth looking at with a e60 maf as well, or is that just a de thing?

What's your E60 MAF doing that you need to check the voltage? The Calum software is pretty accurate IMO, helped me to fix an issue I had with my Pathfinder MAF. When the voltage dropped below 1V at idle the MAF will go into limp mode and run rich. Car revs to redline but AFRs were in the 10s at idle. Replaced the MAF and AFRs are golden. Source another E60 MAF and see if you have the same issues. I did reground my MAF prior to the problem just for insurance & peace of mind. I spliced into my MAF harness to fit the Pathfinder one in and wished I had used an N60 as it is a direct fit into the 94 B13 harness.

it's not what it's doing - the car drives nice, slilghtly sluggish now that I dropped timing to 15 instead of 17 and adjusted the idle speed down to 750-800 but it's that darn 'code 12' I'm getting when reading the ecu. Not sure why I'm getting it.

I am getting the same code. I have had it for a few months now.

I find when I'm in first gear driving around a parking lot, or sometimes in any gear on the street if I have my foot barely on the throttle the car will cut in and out as I am going down the road. Also sometimes my idle goes super low (300-400) if I have lights on and turning the wheel with no gas etc...I don't know what this is but it is very annoying and hard to deal with when the car is bucking.

I have tried two mafs from the junkyard both were giving the code. I cleaned both of them with crc maf cleaner, and my ground is perfect, I also am showing like .2mv with the car off and ignition on (indicating my grounds are good).

Very frustrating.
