Ve installation
As far as ve goes what's the process for wireing? All I know is the solenoids, distributor need to be done is there anything else? What I trying to do is pre wire everything so by the time the egine gets here it drops right in and starts right up. If possible can you guys point me in the right direction?

What car are you swapping this in??
The 2 ground wires that goes on the Im,Iacv need to be extended, and you'll need to wire in the Ve distributor ,you can use the De distributor, but you'll have to cut the bottom ear off and grind some of the material. You're also going to need to swap the ficd, and the coolant temperature sensor.

Ok so here is the list

1. vvl solenoids
2. Distributor ( some grinding required)
3. Coolant temperature sensor (swap over from de manifold)
4. 2 intake manifold grounds
5. Idle air control (extended)
6. Fast idle control device (swaped over from de manifold)

I will be installing the ve into a 93 sentra. I am preparing to brake some bolts because everyone must be rusted shut on the car. Does that just about wrap it up for wiring? Now are there going to be problems finding plugs for the VVL solenoids? I do have a extra harness that I can cut up just in case.

the distributor is easy, you can cut the lower ear off with a grinder or a sawsall..

the wires are also easy to extend.. just cut away a bit of the plastic an tape stuff an u will have enough..

its all simple man...

oh there is another thing, you will either have to use the de power steering pump, or atleast the front bracket, allthough you will have to drill out the holes to line up if you use just the bracket.. OR just grind the notch for the power steering hose a little so it clears the oil filter.. theres 3 ways.. which one you choose is upto you..

oh an if you have a spare harness thats not hacked.. dont hack it up!! they come in handy.. lol

also didnt your ve come with plugs for the solenoids??

thats what i was sayin.. an you only have to notch it if you use the VE one.. if you swap the de power steering over the hose should clear the oil filter..

but really theres several ways about doin it.. i've even heard of people just puttin the de oil filter thing on the ve..

No I don't have the engine yet I want to order it this week though.
Why do you say not to hack up the spare harness don't you need parts off of it?

use the harness thats on the engine now.. theres no hacking / cutting involved.. theres a few sensors to swap, an the iacv.. or whatever it is lol.. the engine should come with a partial harness tho.. an just snip the wires on the vvl solenoids so they're long enough incase you make a mistake or something happens to em..

an its just handy to have some extra wires sometimes.. like when i hooked up my vvl i used wires from my ve harness.. it had been cut anyways.. an extra plugs come in handy too!

the extra harness you have hang on to.. Never know..
