Big bore VVL input needed
I know there are a few 90 & 92mm builds floating around, but has anyone pushed the limits and tried going 94mm? I know the head and block would have to be o-ringed but what else would stop you personally from going that big?

The 90mm power enterprise head gasket with some machining is the best gasket I know of so far to going that big. Any other ideas or suggestions?

I would really like some feedback from you guys going big this year.

Id talk to charles.. I know he has gone 94mm and I believe it was w/o being ringed. Its almost scary to think about going that big to me haha. Just seeing how close the cylinders are at 90-92 is crazy.

But I guess if you o ring the block/head it would be a lot more comforting..

isn't 92 still iffy because maxworx said they recommend going to 90 and there gasket is 91mm i believe. 94 is douable if you seal it the right way tho.

no one has publicly shown a 94mm bore much less done one without o-ringing.

You would have to oring and put the head on dry there wouldn't be enough material between cylinders for a head gasket to seal.

it's not a very good idea.

If i could do it over again i would do a 16ve stroke 92mm bore o-ringed with 12:1 CR slipper skirt pistons. This would maximize everything about the VE motor and let you actually make power to 11k rpm with less stress than a 9krpm 20ve.

I think the motor he did was o-ringed, I will call him in a few and see. That madman says "go for it" to everything, that why I wanted other opinions lol.

92x86 would be a small 2.3

92x92 or 92x91 is where you want to be.

I have their gasket here and it looks like it has enough to seal a 92. I remember someone in NY having a 92mm with this gasket.
