My turbo car is sitting for now.

This is my everyday (supposed to be)reliable car. We can line them up spring time. Direct port is on the way. Mmmmm.

Could the problem possibly be from running a DE throttle body and TPS on a VE motor when I was getting spark? I do not have coolant lines running to the throttle body either.

Off to try and figure out the spark issue now. Hopefully something I tugged on or something when I put in the starter!

Yo Bes, funny as it sounds, check the connection to ya dizzy on the harness side. Happen to me twice and to a friend. All u do is unplug the conection and check the 4 wires going into the harness clip, they tend to come off the pin or socket(whatever u wanna call it).I was looking for spark like a madman and then stumbled upon that.

if u have any issues call me

I tried to start it and it wouldn't fire at all. I pull the coil wire off and look to see if there is any spark from the coil and nothing.

I tried what Jamie said and tried another Calum unit. The car still just kept cranking. I then threw in a working DE ecu just to see if I can get spark and that didn't work either.

So I swap out the coil and tried with no luck again. Did the same with the ignitor and nada.

Getting more and more pissed I decided to clean the grounds. I cleaned up the main chassis ground for the negative cable as well as where it meets the block. Still nothing.

I did check the plugs earlier in the process and they were soaked in fuel. Also found one of my O rings for the valve cover did not sit properly and filled up the spark plug valley.

I'm really out of ideas now. It just got too cold and dark out for me to be out in the parking lot to accomplish anything so I called it quits. Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.

^Dang that's a lot of trouble shooting. :-l

Cool i'm gunna run out and check it out. Its nice as hell outside and finally got some sunshine to work in. Gunna look over that first. Also I know I used the grounds on the intake manifold for my nitrous as well as a few other things and maybe that connection may be bad. Gunna clean them up and leave it strictly for the harness. I'll keep you guys posted!

UPDATE!!

So I took your advice Fazil. I looked at the dizzy plug and it was in rough shape for a long long time. I noticed a bare wire that was exposed after I accidentally crushed the clip when I was putting a tranny back on.

Took out my DVM and had the key to the on position. Tested the ignitor for juice and it was getting 11.6V. Then I decided to check the dizzy. On the harness side I got from one of the pins a 5.1V or so reading. I then tested it on the dizzy side and it was received about .1-.3! So looks like I need to source a dizzy. I did find the coil wire 12V wire broke from when I spliced in the MSD 8969 unit. Turns out my VVL solenoids also had a loose connection which I believe was the reason my car kept falling out of VVL at the track.

Long story short, turns out that my coil was getting a ****ty signal and not creating any or a good enough spark. I need to go through some parts of the harness and solder up some connections. I'm off to go pop some vvl.

True!! This guy is nowhere to be found sometimes lol. I think once I get another dizzy on there the car should fire right up. It takes a second but at least it starts. Might have to borrow it off my other car for the mean time!
