Indeed. And after I had run my session, I asked one of my friends with an E30 (
NC: M50 Swapped 91 318IS For Sale - e30tech.com Forums) to do his first two runs without then add the temp sensor right on his filter. The second the probe was in the engine bay, the temperature went from 47deg to 92deg, that was with the hood still "poped" leaving a 3inch gap between the car and the hood and the bay temps were still that hot almost instantly.
His first two runs he put down 147whp. With the temperature sensor correctly in place: 158whp.
After that the dyno operator said not to use it anymore because they never use it and wanted to maintain consistency. Many around me didn't understand why it mattered...it was frustrating to say the least but i explained to them and tried to make them understand it wasn't just "inflating the numbers" but making them more accurate and helping to simulate what the motor makes on the street....ugh. Not to mention if the dyno is reading %13 lower, that is nearly %8 of the reason.
True indeed, and I am convinced my first dyno a year ago was also largely false due to a poorly calibrated dyno. I had talked with knowledgeable people who had suggested to try replacing the few things that "might" be holding the motor back. That's what I did when I converted to n60maf, 3inch intake piping, and removed the oem cat. I posted both graphs, so you can check out the torque curves. I will state, after adding the flywheel and asp header the torque really felt allot more stout, however it is clear i am lean from 2900 to 4000, which seems to reflect a lower torque output in that range. This might not have been lean before as i had a different header and tune on it with the ssac.

Well I really would like to see over 200whp out of this motor. That said I really do enjoy driving it, and it is allot of fun. The other day I was messing around on the dragstrip with my buddy in a supercharged grand am, he has run 13.88 and I pulled away from him at moderate pace.
And no, no tune yet. I am working on that as fast as I can, hopefully after Christmas break
. I now have a place to go and someone has even offered to help me out so it is very close to reality for me. I cannot wait to see what I can do!!

If you add the %13 and if I had put in the temperature sensor the motor is over 190, however I still don't like the results too much that seems like a stretch. I hate the "what if" involved with dyno numbers. That's why i need to take it to the track...
Thanks allot for the encouragement bud! Yeah, it is a long road, and I'm hoping with tuning I can get some reliable numbers out. I am confident the motor has it in it. You will know when I break 100hp/liter! And I appreciate the compliments on the videos even though they are tacky as hell
