Ahh, back from the dyno once again..interesting results.
Hey guys.
Well my car club had a dyno day today at the local dyno shop.
The dyno was a Dyno Dynamics all wheel drive model. It was a chilly day which had me feeling optimistic about the numbers so I topped the oil off and headed over.
Before going further, I should point out the modifications since my last trip to the dyno.
Current Setup:
sr20ve
JWT Pop charger/k&n filter
3inch cai
n60maf
Calum real time
ASP budget header
3inch exhaust, no cat, ws2 muffler
N1 camshafts
9lb flywheel
n1 water pump
Previous Setup:
sr20ve
de maf
Calum real time
oem de intake tubing
oem flywheel
de waterpump
JWT Pop charger/k&n filter
ssac 2.5 header
3inch exhaust, oem cat, ws2 muffler
N1 camshafts
First off the dyno operator/tuner told me the dyno reads "%13" low compared to a dynojet. And also seemed to ignore the intake air temperature sensor hanging on the dyno stand (I completely forgot to ask about it). My car made three runs, each with the hood closed, and a large fan blowing at the front.
The best run was:
167.1whp @7750rpm
117.0wtq @7300rpm
Dynamometer: DynoDynamics
Charlotte, NC
My old setup yielded:
172.33whp @7250rpm
129.79wtq @6750
Dynamometer: Dynojet
New Hampshire
So if you add the %13 percent... You get:
188.8whp
132.2wtq
Dyno sheets from both new and old runs coming soon, my new camera phone is really bad so I will need to scan the sheets tomorrow.
