we have a few 1/2 in. thick mild steel VE head flanges, i can water or laser a stainless flange, but it will cost a lot more for a one off.

Buy a SSAC header and cut the pipes off. Almost worth it since you get a 2dary/Cat flange and a flex pipe as part of the deal. Only $110 shipped to boot!

SHigSpeed, I already have one but I dont want to chop it up for a DE flange and a 2.5" flange when I need a 3" flange.

Makes sense... IIRC, the SSAC is pretty much matched to the VE ports tho. You building a big bore 4-1?

Love to see the progress on this one...

Not to sure what you mean by big bore. I still dont want to chop up my ssac header when I can sell it later.
