switch over points for N1's??
Ok, installed a set of n1's and what was wondering what i should switch the cams at? I had them on 5200, but that seems low now. I just want a good idea of where most people switch them.

thanks

I beleive that with N1 you have to go a bit higher maybe 5600-5800, I friend of mine had them at 6000 when using the car for the drag strip

I will try those 5600-5800. It was funny because i had my mss set at 4900and 5000 and it was horrible....WAY to soon for the n1's

I am getting it tuned today by driving it around with a WB and laptop so no dyno numbers , but a nice and perfect fuel and timing map and a perfect AFR! I am really hoping for some nice results I am also trying to decide how high to rev these out to. I am thinking 8600????

it all depends on your header. the header pretty much sets where it will be smoothest. with the ssac i switched mine at i believe 5500, then with my 4-1 i had to go to alteast 6000

Just a litle update...I tried 5500 and 5700 and if your shifting over 8200ish then 5700 is fine because you'll stay in vvl now i personally like 5500.

Now for the bad news once i revved the n1's over 8K I dropped a valve, so now the head is coming off and I am DEFINITELY buying new springs AND retainers because it was the damn retainer that broke and caused the valve to drop!

I am about to just fix this car and just go back to BOOST alot less problems for me.....
