vvl install problems
I just finished putting the ve in my 91 g20. It runs but when driving stumbles and cuts timing at 2500 rpm. In fith gear seams like it will go through the whole rpm range. All of my sensors appear to be in good working order according to conzult. My coolant temp doesnt go past 186. I though operating temp was 205? Im using the ve maf, b13 distribute, and realtime v2. Timing is set to the 3rd tick after the yellow tdc mark which i believe is 15 deg tdc. No codes! Please help.

Did you tune the ECU at all? The Calum realtume doesn't come with a custom tune it just comes with a "factory" base map and you have to tune it. Try that.

^ another thing to consider. On the two plug TPS you need to plug into the top plug not the bottom.

It only fits in one of the plugs if you guy haven't notice unless you shove it in and force it to in the other plug.

Sounds like it could be in limp mode. Is your maf connected correctly? If your realtime is reading coolant temp it is not your temp sensor putting it in limp mode, but if your maf is bad or not connected properly it will be in limp mode and not rev past 3g.

Yes I'm using the ve tps, and its pluged into the correct one. It turned out to be the bin. I loaded a older ve bin and it runs good. I just dont have vvl. Im waitin on tuner code now. Thanks

calum's ecu won't do the vvl for you - you need a 3rd party switch for it like a msd 8969 for example.
