16/20ve Base Timing?
I have seen time and time again on this forum that 20ve base timing is 15 degrees. Well found out the 16ve is actually 10 degrees and was wondering if the 20ve would not have similar timing?

Peace

the 16 and 20 are both 10degrees when using there factory ecu.

the reason ppl say its 15 is because when we are using an afermarket ecu like calum or jwt base timming is 15...

SR16VE N1 is 10deg BTDC @ 1100rpm
SR20VE 20V is 22deg BTDC @ 850rpm (based on the factory mapping of the ODB II ECU!)

Nope, but i have the FSM for P12 that states it. I know of at least one person locally who has the P12 ECU, but i have no ODBII consult to extract it (and the car is not running yet, 20V/6sp conversion).

If i get any more info/detail or an opportunity to access ODBII to extract the map i will let you know or email to vassilis.
