Tuning Pulsar VZR sr16ve
Hello Everybody,
I am new to this forum. I have a Nissan Pulsar VZR with the standard sr16ve not the n1 model with just a fujisubo manifold, 5zigen decat and a cat back exhaust. I have taken the car of the road with the intention of tuning the engine to make it into an animal on the road to put it up to the vtec camp. I have an sr20det crank and rods and was just wondering are these a straight swap into the sr16ve block? If not what work needs to be done? Im also wondering what the best and easiest way of tuning it would be? Is there a chip that can be got in Ireland or would a greddy e-manage be the best with bigger injectors? I also want to bring the power up considerably but I am on a budget and dont want to buy n1 cams or n1 throttle body as I think the money would be better spent on an uprated clutch and lightened flywheel. Any feedback or help with my question would be greatly appreciated as no tuners have much knowledge with VZRs in Ireland. Thanks.

Best upgrage will be 2.0 crank and rods. SR20DET one should work.

Tuning: NIStune or guys from Greece (try Out of Sign member) offering tuning stock SR16VE ecu.

Thanks for the comments. Ye I was thinking about that ecu as ive seen from first hand experience it really turns the n1s into a pure animal that loves to rev. I havent seen any bluetop VZRs with that ecu as of yet. Can the ecu be programmed for 2.0 and larger injectors? So there shouldnt be any probs with the sr20det crank and rods? Sorry about all the questions guys but im a newbie and want to make sure I have an understanding of the work involved.
Love the work you have done with your car gtirwezz, want to do something similiar with mine. Very good power figures. Looks very well in the pic in banzai magazine
