Thread: SR16VE swap wiring Questions

ok before reaming me out for not searching, i did. and alll the wiring info for swapping in a VE refers to using an aftermarket DE computer and putting on DE components.

Ok i'm looking at a VE swap for my GA powered sentra and a lot of the SR16VE's from engine importers are available with full engine, harness, ecu, and transmission. being that my car is still a GA, am i better off using the VE harness and ecu with the swap, or trying to switch over to a DE harness and modify the VE? as for gauge cluster i'll probably make one out of custom gauges.

help please?

you will save a lot of headech if you use the de harness and de ecu and de maf thats all

if ur planing to buy the sr16ve for 1500 buy and sr20ve for 1000 and ull get 20 hp more than the sr16

i thought the same way but is better to be bigger and better

Get some more torque with the SR20VE, then maybe later the 16VE cams
