D - The plug wires dont get in the way of the VE solenoids. has anyone ever tried flipping the dizzy cap upside down and reversed the wires so they dont get in the way of the solenoids?

lmao ok look i can under stand the newer tech and the lower mile and even the fact that you can buy them new from greg, thats all good stuff.. i didnt realize people would be smart about it and actually doit right by switching plugs an stuff, maybe i've seen tooooo many hack jobs..

but then like someone else said, if i fried my calum ecu, i'd be pissed!

theres nothin wrong with using the de dizzy, i made mine look like it never had an ear at all with the grinder, looks like it comes stock that way actually.. and its not gonna go anywhere..

i do agree on the plug wire and solenoid thing tho, an not to mention the ignitor chip and coil bein a pita.

It's all about options, folks. LukaMcCloud, you have a pm... very important, relates to your pic for the VE plug.

So was I when it came to wiring anything. That's why it too so long to research the DE & VE wiring diagrams and double check the color codes before I attempted this. I wasn't sure if I was going to post the info but it worked for me and maybe someone else can benefit from it. So far nothing is fried, everything works great. As I've said before if I didn't have the VE distributor that came with my 1st VE, the DE one would have stayed on indefinitely. Worked fine with one bolt.

As long as your setup works for you that's all that matters. Yeah, a few of us get lucky and get it right but for anyone to benefit from it, it has to work and work well on a consistent basis. If you're like most members on the forums there's no room for bull**** when posting something that if done wrong will screw up some major parts on our old cars. Some of those parts are hard to replace. Owning an SR powered car can be a challenge, it all depends how far you want to go with it.
