with your trap i think the 23 will be perfect for you with standard de gears. my car sets up perfectly at my peak with 23 and de gears for 105-108mphs..

I would try to stay in 3rd gear across the traps, unless you use a shorter FD/gear box that you end up shifting into 4th soon enough to make up the difference.

23 x 7.5 x 15 or 23 x 8.5 x 15 M&H slicks

I am using a SR20DE B13 gear box

With my 205 x 40 x 17 = 23.5 Dia Drag Radial tires I run 13.4 @ 104-105 MPH with a 2.0-2.1 60 Ft Time. I go through the traps right around 8000 RPMs.

If you had a 23 in tire you would do about 107 @ 8400 - 8500 RPMs. This is right at the top end - back side of the power band of a SR20VE with N1 cams

I already know if I had a 23 inch slick my car would get a 1.8 60 Ft time and run 12.9-13.0 @ 106 - 107 MPH. The numbers are there.

I raced an Integra with a K24 and slicks and that car ran 13.0 and 12.9 @ 104-105 MPH at the track. My car was faster than that car on the road. They even said they ran 13.4- 13.5 on drag radials.

Sorry, wasn't necessarily directed to your original post. Was just a general post thrown out there. Anything under 300whp I would recommend a 23" slick. 22" or 22.5" slicks aren't really worth it.

So what's the difference when using a 13 rim vs a 15 rim for slicks??? I went to buy some slicks today and the didn't have any 13's at the moment, but they did have the 15's in stock. Would they work with my 15 x 6.5 rims?

This is what I think. If you was to have a sr16 tranny I will go with 24.5x8.5x15.The 24.5 will be suitable for the shorter gears on the sr16 tranny and being 24.5 on a 15 will be a good amount of sidewall. These are the slicks I have, just waiting on getting a good and reasonable price on the tranny to get one and go to the track.

Now if I was to run a sr20 tranny I will go with 22x8.5x13.In my opinion 22 will be suitable for the long sr20ve gears and on a 13 inch rim they will have a good amount of sidewall.
