Hi there
Thx every body.
We are from Chile.

Compression test is pending due to the fact that the car just finished the break-in period. I would guest over 230 psi or maybe more.

About the header i have my doubts, because i have been using the stock header with modded 2-into-1 section in already 3 vvl cars, all of them put just the same power than other VE with aftermarket headers, i would guess a better powerband but not sure about a bigger number, we will test an aftermarket header soon.

Yeap, i have heard some bad expieriences with XTD, but personally i have no issues so far until now :P.

Guilox was mute and going white as the car start racing xD. Guilox car is an interesting project in who im involved too, soon we will keep you posted.

Car was GA16DNE.

We have just a little issue, that is the power drop at the top-end, problem is a timming issue on that cells on the timming map, for time reassons we do not correct the problem (dyno time was over). But we will keep evolving
Gambari masho

Well, enjoy the pics and the numbers. Thx again to Every body

What ever you did seems to work, looks like a strong motor to me.

Alot of guys outside North America don't seem to view the stock header/ex. mani as a restriction. Some even suggest the Fujitsubo header is just a clone of the stock primaries with a nice secondary. Looks very good.

@PuPPiesOnAciD: Very nice car, i like the almera and i am thinking of building a SR20VE Almera too, based on a GTi (SR20DE). Therefore some question:

- is it mechanically plug and play (same as with primera/sunny/sentra)
- can i use the almera wiring harness without modifcation?
- how did you do the mapping? Nistune?

Yep, sr20ve and sr20de are almost identical. BUT you need to use the complete engine mount and bracket set from the original engine. (SR20VE uses the P11 kind of mounting which is like 10mm bigger on the timing side than the B13/B14 mounting style, also the bolt pattern on the bracket in this section is different (the bracket which is attached to block and is just over the oil pump cover).

- can i use the almera wiring harness without modifcation?
Tricky one. There are 2 options:

1st Stay with the 20DE electronics, which involves to keep all just like in the 20de, for that you will need to use the distribuitor from the 20de, to put it on the 20ve you will need to cut the lower (it will use only 1 bolt), and to put the 20de MAF. Car will run little rich so in this case you will need remaping for the ecu or a safc.

2nd way is to use the harness, and modify the distribuitor plug to suit the 20ve distribuitor. You will need the distribuitor plug from the 20ve. In the case of the almera it would be very simple 'cause both engines uses the same colors for the wiring.

In this 2 cases you will need an external device to control VVL solenoids, so the solenoids need an independent wiring, if you decide to use option 2 with the 20ve ECU, you will need to check pins 104 and 106 in both harness (20de and 20ve) cause it could be a chance that fuel pump isn't on the right place.
Using this combination you will need to add the wiring from the solenoids to the vvl pins (106 and 102), the solenoids are activated by closing ground, so you will need to feed the black/red striped wire on the solenoids plugs with +12v IGN and the purple and pink wires to the 106 and 102 pins or a rpm switch/vtec controller or even a button for a ghetto cam activation (fun cause you can make the car at idle sound like a heavy modded sr20 making the idle hesitate due to the extra overlap)

- how did you do the mapping? Nistune?
