weird cooling issue:fans on at all times
ever since i swap the VE in my 4 dr i noticed as sson as i crank the engine the fans will kick on, at first i thought it was the ecu no recognizing the jdm ECTS, but i just swap it with a usdm one and still got the same issue.now does it really matter which wire goes to the sensor or does it has reverse polarity? i matched the wires with the old plug, so i dont think that's the issue.

BTW im running a DE maf and ECU from a 92 Auto g20,VE inj.

If the PCM doesn't get a reading from the temp sensor, it automatically goes into failsafe mode which turns the fans on full blast at all times.

probably a plug not connected all the way. i had the same issue on my last swap ended up not plugging in this weird square connector and that was it.

Check your wiring. If you have a short to ground on that circuit the ECU will interpret that as your engine overheating to the max. Also if this is the issue the car should be running much weaker then it should. Remember your engine has two coolant temp sensores. One for the cluster the other is for the ECU. Your ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) Sensor is a key sensor in the drivability of your car. Whether, what I said is the issue or not once you figure it out don't forget to post what you found so this thread has meaning. Good Luck

found the problem! last night i was browsing the FSM and i did the ohm check for the wiring to the ecu and nothing, then traced the harness back to a disconnected plug! go figure, its the one that connects both harnesses in the engine. works like a charm now!

Calum shipped my ecu thursday so i can wait!
Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
