sr20ve 200sx help!!!!!!!!!!!
This is starting to bug me really bad, my car has been doing this the past 2 weeks, when the car is cold and i try to crank it over and i step on the gas it will choke and die. It will actually stay on after the 3rd try but i have to let it warm up and it will work great, well now everytime i drive it it will idle fine it doesnt hesitate at all, it works fine but then all of the sudden the car dies like if it isnt getting any fuel and i try to start it back on and it just wont turn back on i try and try to turn it on but it just wont, everytime i do it it hesitates really bad or just wont turn on at all, after a few tries it goes back to normal and works fines, but once in a while when im driving it just turns offs and wont want to turn back on and i hated because i stop all the traffic. I replaced my fuel pump thinking that was it, i clean my maf. Im gettin the following codes

p1336
p1401
and today i got
p1320

hope you gus can help me figure out whats wrong ive been searching but just cant find an answer.

p1336 - The crankshaft position sensor (OBD) is located on the trans- mission housing facing the gear teeth (cogs) of the flywheel or drive plate. It detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution. The sensor consists of a permanent magnet, core and coil. When the engine is running, the high and low parts of the teeth cause the gap with the sensor to change.
The changing gap causes the magnetic field near the sensor to change.
Due to the changing magnetic field, the voltage from the sensor changes.
The ECM receives the voltage signal and detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution.
This sensor is not directly used to control the engine system. It is used only for the on-board diagnosis of misfire.

p1320 - Ignition coil & power transistor (Built into distributor) The ignition coil is a small molded type. The ignition signal from the ECM is sent to the power transistor. The power transistor switches on and off the ignition coil primary circuit. As the primary circuit is turned on and off, the proper high voltage is induced in the coil secondary circuit.

p1401 - The EGR temperature sensor detects temperature changes in the EGR passage way. When the EGR valve opens, hot exhaust gases flow, and the temperature in the passage way changes. The EGR temperature sensor is a thermistor that modifies a voltage signal sent from the ECM. This modified signal then returns to the ECM as an input signal. As the temperature increases, EGR temperature sensor resistance decreases. This sensor is not directly used to control the engine system.

heres what those codes are hope this helps .... if it doesnt i have more info

P1336 should be crank position sensor

P1401 should be bad or disconected EGR temp sensor

P1320 should be bad distributor

on a B14, when you have a bad distributor and bad crank position sensor you got a real problem. The crank position sensor is a back up for the distributor.

So either the crank position sensor is bad or you have a aftermarket flywheel with the wrong number of teeth. This is not a big problem if the distributor is working properly. It becomes a big problem when the distributors is not working properly.

So first of replace you Distributor and replace your Crank Postion Sensor. Now if you have the wrong flywheel get the right flywheel and replace it if not just replace and get a working Crank Postion Sensor.

As far as the EGR temp sensor goes, if you have a VE you did not conect it. I would get the sensor and conect it to the harness and tape it on the harness. I always do this when I build B14 VE and DET motors.

thanks, so yout think this is why my car turns off all of a sudden when im driving and wont turn back on right away? i know i have the correct flywheel so this must mean that the sensor is bad along with the distributor, also is normal for the fuel line to charge and the fans to turn on when i unplug and then plug the harness back into the distributor?.

My guess would be the alternator, base on "turns off all of a sudden when I'm driving."

alternator is good, if it was a bad alternator it would drain the battery and it wouldnt turn on.

ok decided to put a new distributor and its still doing the same thing, next thing im checking is the maf, everytime i turn on the car and unplug the cable to the maf sensor the car turns off is this normal, i also took some video clips hope you guys can help me out im getting tired of this.
